Kman Law and Justice Centre is a not-for-profit Foundation registered in Nigeria (No. 135786).
Kman Law and Justice Centre's focus is on-
The Advancement of the fairness, equity and effectiveness of law and the justice system, improving access to justice and promoting social justice;
Advocacy and Promotion of high ethical standards in the justice sector particularly and among the citizens generally;
Participating and supporting public interest advocacy;
Facilitating and providing support for:
- Research into law, justice and ethics and the dissemination of the results of such research;
- The formulation, through study, research and international consultation, of proposals for law and justice reform and restatements, and the promotion of an awareness and understanding of such activities and instruments by means of meetings, courses, conferences and seminars and the publication of books, guides, journals, articles and other publications in the fields of law, justice, social justice and ethics;
- The establishment of research hubs and expansion of databases, library materials and other information systems and facilities to support and make generally available such study and research; and
- Setting up, facilitating and supporting law clinics and community human rights programmes.
