There is high demand from the society now for ethical lawyering and that lawyers and judges must always exercise moral judgment irrespective of the pressures from and within the society. In this context it has been stated that lawyers must take “personal moral responsibility for the consequences of their professional acts" too. The Lawyers for Lawyers’ Integrity Programme focuses on projects that will make lawyers and judges not only become conscious of the traits of character that ethical lawyers must possess which make them able to fulfil their moral responsibilities but also the obligations of ethical lawyering.
